We’re starting 2015 in the biggest way possible – with the biggest PS4 game on the horizon leading the way. The new issue of OPM is The Heroes Issue, and there was only one man we could put on the cover: Nathan Drake and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. We’ve ten pages on the biggest game of the year in which we uncover the deepest secrets about Drake’s first (and could it be his only..?) outing on PlayStation 4.
Then YOU take centre stage, as we finally print our long-awaited results for the 20 Greatest PlayStation Heroes (and Villains!) reader poll in a special feature devoted to 20 years of gaming icons. It’s a surprising and controversial list – somehow a 21st entrant even managed to sneak his way in thanks to a special pairing that cropped up during the voting process – and the results are not to be missed.
Also this month we lift the lid on no fewer than 32 brand new games, with PS4-exclusive Street Fighter V at the front of a pack that includes Assassin’s Creed Victory and Drawn To Death, while our Previews section is packed with huge hands-on tests of The Order: 1886, Tearaway Unfolded, Until Dawn, Bloodborne and more.
Any classic adventure game fans out there? Then we’ll direct you to our six-page exclusive interview with Lucasarts legend and Double Fine head Tim Schafer, who talks about incoming classics Grim Fandango and Day Of The Tentacle, and new hit Broken Age. And for good measure, we also have two pages on PS2 classic Psychonauts in this issue too…
And another classic hero gets a new chance to shine as Robin Hood is reimagined in upcoming indie title Volume. We’ve a special eight-page exclusive on the new game from Thomas Was Alone creator Mike Bithell, along with interviews with famous voice talent Danny Wallace and YouTube megastar Charlie McDonnell.
There’s plenty more inside the mag too but we don’t want to spoil ALL the fun of discovering it for yourself. Enjoy the issue!
Ok, we’ll spoil a bit of the fun… We’re also giving away an incredible FREE PlayStation trivia book, packed with 1001 amazing facts and figures. That video game-centric pub quiz near you won’t know what hit it.
