Which Cities Love 36 Of The Biggest Franchises The Most?

With so many major releases arriving in the span of just a few short weeks, it's easy to lose track of what really matters: bragging rights. We decided to take a step back and look at the biggest franchises in gaming to find out which city loves them the most.

In order to collect our data, we visited the Facebook pages of 36 different series from 12 publishers. Using the platform's built-in analytic tools, we were able to request audience data for the franchises and came up with some surprising and fascinating results. There are some top 10 lists that don't feature a United States city. We've listed the first one to appear as a point of curiosity.

Each page is dedicated to a publisher, with two or three of their biggest series featured. For companies like Electronic Arts, Activision, and Take-Two, which have multiple significant branches, we've allotted separate pages. Be sure to click through to the end for some wrap-up analysis and our breakdown for ultimate bragging rights.

Note: Publishers are listed in alphabetical order. Data is limited to Facebook users that self-identify as a fan by "liking" pages.

Call of Duty is one of the largest franchises in the industry, with worldwide appeal and a competitive scene that draws players from all over. Its diverse fanbase is in line with everything we know about the series.

Skylanders surprised us with representatives from two of the wealthiest cities in the Middle East making the list. Dubai tops the chart with a whopping 10 percent of the Facebook fanbase, finally answering a question we've had since executive editor Andrew Reiner researched pricing on the rarest and most expensive Skylanders. Just who is buying these? Apparently fans in Dubai.
