Smash Bros. Inspired Rivals Of Aether Coming To Xbox One And PC

Rivals of Aether's creator, Dan Fornace, is a big fan of Nintendo's Super Smash Bros., and he makes no attempts to hide it.

Fornace created Super Smash Land during college, a Super Smash Bros. demake, and went on to work with Microsoft on Killer Instinct. He also played Super Smash Bros. competitively. Now, since becoming an independent developer in April, Fornace along with composer Flashygoodness, have been working on Rivals of Aether.

You can check out the game's announcement trailer which showcases two of the game's fighters below. Much like Super Smash Bros., success depends on how good you are at knocking people off the ledge.

Rivals of Aether is coming to Xbox One and PC next year.
