If you don't like comic books, you may want to ditch cable TV and avoid going to movie theaters in the summer. Last week, Warner Bros. outlined its strategy to bring most of DC Comics' beloved super heroes to the big screen, and later tonight another popular character hits the small screen. Joining Arrow, Flash, and Gotham, Constantine is a new super hero series that dives deep into DC Comics' realm of magic and dark arts. Born from the pages of Hellblazer, John Constantine is a demon hunter who travels the country to snuff out evil (much like the boys do in Supernatural). The bad news: His soul belongs to the devil.
The first episode airs on NBC tonight at 9 p.m. CT. if it's anything like Arrow and the Flash, DC Comics fans may have another show to champion. And as I wrote earlier in the year, the next stop for the comic book movement should be video games.
