Survival is always your first priority in an Alien game, but Alien: Isolation's Survivor Mode presents players with even more difficult challenges.
Sega and developer Creative Assembly have released a new trailer highlighting the mode, which tasks players with meeting certain objectives in maps and in the shortest time. The best times will then be posted on a global leaderboard.
The game comes with one map – Basement – when the game is released on October 7 (PS4/Xbox One/PS3/360), and on October 28 three more maps will be available as part of the game's first of five add-on packs. The DLC also comes with a new playable character and new enemy types (on top of the alien itself, of course), as well as new modes.
Sega has not announced a price for the add-on DLC, but they will be sold individually or you can get them all at a discount of up to 25 percent if you buy the title's season pass at launch.
All of the add-on packs will be out by March 2015.
