A recent tweet from BioWare Montreal studio director Yannick Roy reads a bit like a retelling of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. A fan inquired about the current status of Mass Effect development and received an answer that helps us understand where the development arc the game is.
We’ve had an early look at new Mass Effect art and we know the game is playable internally in an early form. The next big question is whether the title will be teased at E3 this year.
We’re also interested to find out of the rumors of Xbox One and PS4 versions of the original trilogy are coming. The concept has been discussed at BioWare and retailer listings have appeared.

Our Take
BioWare and EA will tread carefully with Mass Effect. They won’t likely promote the new title too much prior to the October 7 release of Dragon Age in order to keep fans’ eyes on the ball. A tease, though? That would be a perfect surprise at E3, especially given how well EA’s brief Star Wars Battlefront nod and Dragon Age teaser went off last year.
