Nintendo has shed some light on its E3 plans. The company will once again be streaming its announcements, but there are some other plans in store.
On June 10 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific, the company will be hosting a “digital event.” Nintendo says that this will take this new format will be its way to share E3 news. Last year, Nintendo didn’t hold a sit-down press conference, rather it gathered media on the show floor for its announcements.
A Smash Bros. Invitational tournament will also be taking place during E3. The company has chosen the Nokia Theatre for its first E3 competitive event.

Nintendo will also be streaming content throughout the week, and fans can get their hands on Super Smash Bros. at Best Buy. Nintendo has not yet confirmed if the Wii U version will also be available for play. Nintendo has confirmed that the Wii U version of the game will be available for play.
Our Take
Nintendo continues on its path of speaking directly to the fans in order to control its message. For those unable to attend E3, this is a great opportunity to give the new Smash Bros. a try, especially if the Wii U version is on hand, too.
